Klimawandel und Entwicklungspolitik
In: Klimapolitik international, S. 31-40
(Autorenreferat)

Municipal institutional strengthening and donor coordination: The case of Ecuador
In: Public administration and development: the international journal of management research and practice, Band 14, Heft 2, S. 169-186
ISSN: 0271-2075
This article analyses the circumstances surrounding municipal institutional reforms in Ecuador which were set in motion through external contributors to the financing of infrastructure projects at the local level, and institutional reforms. Credit was only provided to municipalities on the understanding that attempts were made by them to improve their capacity to provide urban services. This approach has enjoyed considerable success to date. (DSE/DÜI)
